Home-> Sem course

This page provides a PARTIAL set of resources for a introductory course in Structural Equation Modelling for those who have a background in basic statistics. The first two documents provide some background material for those who have found the SEM chapter in my book rather difficult.

The other handouts provide some more complex examples with each highlighting a particular aspect of SEM modelling. Youtube videos to go with the series at:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3_gFejbhlGrgFfYlq7sa24h6jdesRmca

Before you start you need three bits of free software:

1. R available from: CRAN (the Comprehensive R Archive Network) cran.r-project.org
My video on youtube shows you how to do this https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9F0EBD42C0AB37D0

2. Java available from: www.java.com

3. Onyx: A graphical interface for Structural Equation Modeling
available from: onyx.brandmaier.de

Pre course preperation Please watch the youTube video by Professor Piotr Wilk https://youtu.be/cvQ9HUfmVxs and answer the questions on the Active listening sheet here The powerpoint file for the presentation can be found at:  http://rdc.uwo.ca/events/docs/presentation_slides/2013-14/Wilk2013SEM.pdf
